John Gempel's work in marketing communications has always been focused on the development and execution of arresting and persuasive messages in all media. After beginning his career in TV commercial production, John moved to the agency side, working as Writer/Producer, Creative Group Head, and Associate Creative Director at ad agencies in Houston and Dallas.  

John later established Gempel Creative, where as President/Creative Director​ he has served clients in the U.S., United Kingdom, The Netherlands,  Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and of course,  Texas.

In 2017, John joined Murphy Nasica (a political consultancy/agency) as Head Copywriter.

John is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (BFA, Broadcast/Film).
